The short version. OnTrack has no account system and no server. Your tasks, sessions, and settings are stored on your own device and never sent to us. We cannot see your data because we never receive it.
Who this covers
This policy covers the OnTrack app (Mac and web) and this website. OnTrack is made and sold by an independent developer, contactable at homeathome1103@gmail.com.
What the app stores
Everything you create in OnTrack is written to local storage on your own device. That includes your tasks, missions, focus session history, reminders, achievements, themes, and settings.
None of it is transmitted to us or to anyone else. There is no account, no sign in, and no sync service. If you delete the app or clear your browser data, that information is gone, which is why the app includes an export button.
The optional AI coach
OnTrack includes an optional AI coach that is switched off by default. If you choose to turn it on, you supply your own API key from a third party provider, currently Groq or OpenRouter.
- Your API key is stored on your device only and is never sent to us.
- When you use the coach, your message and relevant app context (open task titles, mission names, focus minutes, streak, and energy setting) are sent directly from your device to the provider you chose.
- That data is then handled under that provider's own privacy policy, not this one. Review theirs before enabling the feature.
- We are not a party to those requests and never see them.
- Leave the coach switched off and no data leaves your device at all.
Noticing untracked work
The Mac app has an optional feature, off by default, that can detect a long stretch of work in another application and offer to log it. When enabled, it reads the name of the frontmost application and your system idle time. It does not read window titles, document names, web pages, or anything you type. This information stays on your device and is never transmitted. The web version does not have this feature at all.
The browser preview
The free preview is the same app running in your browser, and everything above applies to it. It also stores a small record of when your preview started and how much of it you have used, so that a refresh does not hand out extra time. That record stays in your browser and is never sent to us.
Buying OnTrack
Purchases are processed by Gumroad, not by us. Gumroad collects your email address and payment details, and handles the transaction under its own privacy policy. We receive your email address and purchase record through Gumroad so we can deliver the product and answer support requests. We do not receive or store your card details.
This website
This site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits. It is cookieless. It does not build a profile of you, does not follow you across other websites, and does not collect anything that identifies you personally.
What we see is aggregate only: how many visits a page received, which pages were popular, and which site the visit came from. We cannot tell who you are from any of it.
If you email us for support, we keep that correspondence so we can help you and follow up. We do not sell, rent, or share it.
Cookies
This site sets no cookies of its own, and the analytics described above are cookieless. That is why you are not being asked to click through a cookie banner.
If you follow a link to Gumroad to buy, or press play on the demo video, those services apply their own policies once you are there.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how it is used. In practice the only personal information we are likely to hold is your email address and purchase record from Gumroad, plus any support emails.
To make a request, email homeathome1103@gmail.com. We will respond within 30 days. For data held by Gumroad, you can also contact Gumroad directly.
Children
OnTrack can be used by people of all ages. The app does not require an account and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page changes with it. Material changes will be noted on this page.
